Yet, still in fantasy.. Jay Chou..

While fiddling with my laptop in my office alone, i popped open my Media Player and turned on one of the latest tunes i got my hands onto.. Jay Chou's latest album, Still Fantasy..

After 5 years.. and still, you are fantasizing?!

Apparently, i am not really an 'up-to-trend' music listener, so i guess this is the latest song that i am having now, well, at least the newest among my cd collections..
As usual, most who have listened to his songs may think that this album may not be any different from his past albums (proven track record, as in his past albums).. Yes, true, hos past albums are none any different and all this while you have been buying the same album from Jay, only with edited lyrics..
But for this one, make sure you get hold of it..

Tinkering; what about some Shanghai-Broadway flavour?

This new album of his brings in a new flavour of tunes, mostly from the broadway-Shanghainese era, where ang-mohs like to visit clubs with hot Shanghainese chicks who sings on stage for a living then.. When i listened to the songs, even i felt like i was there myself..

This album consists of 10 songs, like what i've mentioned, 50-60% sounds like the Shanghai-Broadway tune, the rest may be a mixture of soft, or even some of his infamous fast rap songs.. here are the list of them..

01. 夜的第七章 - Twilight's Chapter Seven (Ye De Di Qi Zhang)
02. 聽媽媽的話 - Listen to Mama's Words (Ting Ma Ma De Hua)
03. 千里之外 - Faraway (Qian Li Zhi Wai)
04. 本草綱目 - A Herbalist's Manual (Ben Cao Gang Mu)
05. 退後 - Retreat (Tui Hou)
06. 紅模仿 - Red Imitation (Hong Mo Fang)
07. 心雨 - Heart's Rain (Xin Yu)
08. 白色風車 - White Windmill (Bai Se Feng Che)
09. 迷迭香 - Rosemary (Mi Die Xiang)
10. 菊花台 - Chrysanthemum Flower Bed (Ju Hua Tai)

The translation is not done by me so don't blame it on me if there is any silly mistakes there.. The CD set came with one audio disc and a multimedia DVD, where his MVs for the first and third song is included (plus the making of the first MV). Not really a bad deal, as it costed me RM 50 (plus a poster.. *ahem..)

Well, since i just got hands on the songs, i would not be doing any recommendations as frankly speaking, i have not really suited myself with the songs yet. Anyway, my personal favourite would be the ones in odd numbers, so yeah, have a go at this album... i think its ok..
